Meghan Markle has given fans what they wanted! She revealed the first-ever photo of baby Lili and it’s hard not to stop looking at her.
Meghan Markle has given fans a first look at her child, Princess Lilibet.
And the internet is still talking about it.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their new baby girl into the world on Friday, June 4 at 11:40 a.m.
Although some people were upset when they saw her name released in the news, others find it highly disrespectful.
As we know, she was named “Lilibet Diana Mountbatten Windsor.”
The tradition of paying tribute to Harry’s late mother Diana, Princess of Wales, who died in 1997 when he was twelve.
The name “Lilibet” was given in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.
Her father called her “Lilibet” as a child because she couldn’t pronounce the name Elizabeth. Her late husband Prince Philip also used it, and Majesty has gone back to using it during her widowhood.
The couple formerly known as members of the British Royal Family seems to have been targeted by scrutiny since stepping down from their positions last January.
Meghan and Harry voiced concern for their privacy and moved to Los Angeles so they can live a more private life.
However, many feel like the couple has defamed the Royal Family.
Harry’s relationships with his brother, father and grandparents is often strained.
Though at first there were reports coming from within the Royal Family that they were “delighted” with the news.
Harry has a difficult relationship with his family.
In a new interview, Harry has said that his father Charles “refused” to take calls from him ahead of the 2020 election. He also says he was financially cut off by Diana’s inheritance after stepping down with her when they first inherited it and at first had to live on it alone before eventually having access to other funds as a royal.
Replying to Oprah Winfrey’s question during their televised interview about why they left, Harry blamed a “lack of support and understanding.”
“I feel really let down because he knows what pain feels like, and Archie is his grandson.”
“But at the same time – I will always love him. But there’s a lot of hurts that’s happened, and I want to try to heal our relationship. But they only know what they know, or what we tell them.”
The main controversy following the release of Queen Elizabeth’s name is that the word “Lilibet” has no meaning.
A royal biographer, Angela Levin, dubbed it as “rude.”
There are allegations that Harry has broken royal protocol by using the Queen’s private pet name as a first name.
Royal commentator Richard Kay suggested that naming their daughter Lilibet – in honor of Queen Elizabeth II – might be too much for Harry and Meghan to handle.
Writing in a column for the Daily Mail, he said: “By giving the baby the name Lilibet, the Queen’s private family nickname – even though they intend to use the diminutive ‘Lili’ for their daughter – there is a risk.”
Amidst the hoopla of royalists everywhere, one question still has a longing for an answer: “Will it be seen as presumptuous for a child who is eighth in line to the throne, but who will grow up on other side of world speaking with American accent?”
“As her only living grandparent, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh was permitted to call Queen Elizabeth II by her nickname. After he died in 2012…”
“It’s likely some of the more cautious courtiers at the Palace will be worried and have pointed feedback on this particular convention-defying Exocet from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
There has been a mixed response to the name, with some believing that it is the couple bowing down to the Queen for forgiveness. Others believe it is a touching tribute.
And the controversy now seems to be taking a back seat…

Melissa agrees by saying, “see you at 50,” before Meghan blows out candles on a birthday cake.
The video ends with a blurry blooper that shows Melissa making a joke about the footage.
“This video was full of hat work,” she says before laughing.
Meghan says her 40th birthday was a time for reflection. She listed many of the things she’s grateful for, but time is among the most significant.
“The most valuable gift of time is the time we spend with our loved ones, doing the things that make us happy and learning. Time spent in service to others can contribute to incredible change.”
